Super Main Event with $50 Million Guarantee - WSOP Paradise is Back!

Article cover

Last year's WSOP Paradise Series premiere in the sunny Bahamas, specifically at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort, was a success and the organisers have decided to continue the series. WSOP Paradise will once again take place in December this year, competing once again with the WPT stops in Las Vegas and EPT Prague.

WSOP Paradise will take place on the dates of December 6 to 19, 2024 , the WPT in Las Vegas will run from December 3 to 23 and the EPT Prague series is scheduled to run from December 4 to 15.

WSOP pulls out the big guns

WSOP Paradise guaranteed a total of $50 million last year and ended up paying out more than $70 million in prize money. The winner of the Main Event was German online qualifier Stanislav Zegal, who defeated Czech player Michael Sklenicka in heads-up play. Zegal took home a special bracelet and a $2 million prize.

Erik Seidel was also successful here, winning his tenth gold bracelet. There were 15 bracelet tournaments on the schedule last year and among them were the $800 Flip & Go, the $100,000 buy-in Ultra High Roller, the $5,000,000 $1,500 Mystery Millions, the $1,500 Millionaire Maker, the $10,000,000 $25,000 GGMillion, the $50,000 Super High Roller and the $5,000 Main Event with a $5,000 buy-in and a $15 million guarantee.

This year, the organizers decided to raise the bar a little higher. The Main Event is to be called Super and is to offer the biggest guarantee ever in the history of live poker - $50,000,000! Players will be able to play for this huge sum for a buy-in of $25,000.

In total, the festival will offer tournament buy-ins ranging from $2,500 to $1,000,000. With a million dollar buy-in, we can look forward to the biggest poker stars and the best poker. The organizers haven't revealed any more information for now, so we have no choice but to wait for the tournament schedule to be released. However, one thing is already certain, the online poker room GGPoker will once again send a number of qualifiers to the Main Event.

"The action we saw during the WSOP Summer Series is a testament to the health of poker, especially in high roller tournaments. We are thrilled that GGPoker has reaffirmed its commitment to building WSOP Paradise through the largest guarantee in poker history," said WSOP CEO Ty Stewart.
