The legendary series has been breaking its own records for over half a century, and after a forced corona break, it returned in full force last year. The result was the biggest festival in history, both in terms of total entries (197,626) and total prize pool ($347,941,800).

This year, the 54th edition will take place from May 30 to July 18, and during these days, in addition to hundreds of millions of dollars, 95 valuable bracelets plus an extra 34 bracelets in online events will be up for grabs. Well, since today is 31.5. it's clear that this whole show has officially started!

Traditionally, the opening tournament of the entire mega festival was the $500 Casino Employees event, which is intended for casino employees. Thanks to 1,015 entries, the opening tournament already showed a massive increase in participation, surpassing last year's numbers by more than 200 entries. After the first day of play, 89 players remain in the game, led by Tam Benson. The winner will receive a bracelet and $75,535.

But the #2 event, which was the $25,000 6-max High Roller, was undoubtedly more interesting for the audience. A total of 174 entries took care of the over 4 million prize pool, which 58 players continue to play for. At the moment, the Austrian representative Daniel Rezaei is at their head, but there are still a lot of big names in the game, including Sean Winter, Adrian Mateos, Justin Bonomo, Chance Kornuth, Phil Hellmuth and Shaun Deeb.
