Day 2 of the WPT World Championship kicked off with 1,375 players in attendance and the goal of the evening was to burst the bubble. Once it burst, each player would have an $18,700 reward, but there was a completely different prize awaiting the overall winner. The WPT World Championship champion will take home a fabulous $5,678,000 prize.

After a few hours of play, the tournament entered the hand-for-hand phase, with four hands eventually being played. The denouement of the bubble came in a hand between Tyler Hirschfeld and Maryline Valente. Both players flopped J 4 4 all in and waited for the tournament director. Maryline held J J J J and Tyler "only" A A. After a turn 7 and a river T, Tyler Hirschfeld busted on the bubble and the remaining 480 players rejoiced at winning at least $18,700.
