The three-hundred-thousand-guarantee tournament, the biggest ever offered by a Spadepoker Tour event, produced 452 entries in the opening flights, and 116 successful poker players made it through to Day 2. From these, 11 players emerged after a gruelling 12 hours of play to battle it out for final table position and victory during yesterday's final day.  You were able to watch it again via our live stream.

The first two hours of the final day brought no surprises, with chipleader Gheorgi Oprea continuing to ride the wave, and after eliminating Andy Graf in tenth place, he also sat at the final table from the chipleader position:

  1. Gheorghi Oprea - 9.560.000
  2. Cheba - 5.455.000
  3. Daniele Lunario - 3.655.000
  4. Loic Joseph - 2.990.000
  5. Lorenzo Arduini - 1.850.000
  6. Giovinco87 - 1.285.000
  7. Carlos Henningsen - 1.830.000
  8. Angelo Arossi - 495.000

For most of the final day, the chipleader position was held by the aforementioned Gheorghi Oprea, who was not able to make it out of the final three. Here we witnessed a brutal 3-way spot in which Loic found a pair of J J  , Arduini joined in with a pair of 5 5  , and a happy Oprea found Q Q  on the BB underhand. Loic decided to keep his 1bb and fold after the 2-million opener, which ultimately earned him 12-thousand francs after the turn 5 arrived.

After Oprea was eliminated in third place, the final heads-up was literally a formality, as Loic's one blind went over the line on the very first hand after this big hand. The final hand was the one that finally decided that Italian player Lorenzo Arduini became the first ever champion to win the tournament without a deal, and for a record CHF 58,180! Congratulations on a great achievement!
