With 2024 just a few days away, it's time to take stock of players' achievements on the live poker scene. It's probably no surprise that the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series was the biggest earner for players.
1. Adrian Mateos
Spanish player Adrian Mateos took the top spot, and it's certainly no surprise to anyone. This pro earned $13,109,217 in 2024. The most he earned was a second place finish in the 200k Triton Montenegro, from which he took home $3,292,000. Just a few days before that, he was the winner in the $50,000 tournament of this series, for which he earned $1,761,000. As much as $8,729,392 of Adrian's earnings have come in Europe, and his lifetime live tournament winnings have already surpassed the $52.4 million mark.
2. Patrik Antonius
Finnish pro Patrik Antonius, however, who lives in Monaco has had a great year. First, he was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame, and he ended the year with $12,488,048 in winnings. He secured the biggest prize of the year in November when he became the champion of the Triton Invitational in Monaco. With a buy-in of $210,000, Patrik ended up taking home $5,130,000. Patrik's lifetime live tournament winnings are approaching $30 million.
3. Alejadro Lococo
The Argentinian rapper and poker player made it onto this list thanks to his $525,000 buy-in Triton Million win in December, which was worth $12,070,000. Overall, he ended the year with $12,287,737 in winnings, putting him in third place.
4. Alex Foxen
The Foxen family of Kristen Foxen and Alex Foxen added $13,341,531 to their family budget for 2024, of which Alex's total came to $11,593,726, putting him in 4th place. His highest score came in December when he was the winner of the $3,850,000 Triton Main Event. His lifetime winnings are worth $42.8 million.
5. Jonathan Tamayo
Jonathan Tamayo made the list basically only because of his $10,000,000 WSOP Main Event win, and finished the year with $10,298,455 in total rewards. However, his success was overshadowed by the controversy surrounding his rake, where Dominik Nitsche was standing with a laptop and solver. This controversy led to changes in tournament rules.
6. Daniel Dvoress
Canadian pro Daniel Dvoress achieved almost as many cashes as Tamayo in 2024, and he didn't even need to win 10 million in a single tournament to do it. The year 2024 brought him $10,298,200 worth of winnings, the highest of which was worth $4,390,000 for his 4th place finish in December's Triton Million.
7. Ben Heath
Ben Heath has made $9,715,352 worth of winnings for the year, and in his case the biggest win also came during the December Triton Million, where he took a nice second place for $8,160,000. This brought his lifetime live tournament winnings to over $31.2 million.
8. Ben Tollerene
American player Ben Tollerene has earned $9,373,278 this year, bringing his career winnings to over $20 million already. He also achieved his biggest career win this year, which was worth $3,537,135 for finishing second in the $250,000 WSOP SHR.
9. Seth Davies
Seth Davies took care of business this year by winning the Super High Roller Bowl twice. First he dominated the NLH version and then the PLO version. Thanks to that, he finished the year with $9,180,944 in winnings, and he also took care of his biggest career bounty, which was for winning the aforementioned SHRB NLH for $3,206,000.
10. Roman Hrabec
Rounding out the overall top earners for 2024 is a talented Czech player living in Vienna - Roman Hrabec. He has had a successful year, which brought him up to $9,130,097, and his biggest career reward came when he won the Triton Jeju Main Event, which earned him $4,330,000. He continued his winning streak during the WSOP where he won his first gold bracelet in an online tournament.
He secured another Triton title in November when he won the Mystery Bounty event in Monaco. His lifetime live tournament winnings are now worth nearly $12,000,000, which currently places him second on the Czech all-time money list. In Roman's case, we can't leave out his online successes either, where he has already achieved winnings worth more than $15.1 million. However, 2024 was also a great year for Roman in the private sphere, as he managed to get engaged to his partner, poker player Monika Zukowicz.
