Once again, after a few days, let's move to Arena Casino Tirana in Albania, where the Diamond Poker Series PLO Grand Slam was held. The opener here was dominated by Tom Vogelsang and the Main Event of the whole series was the PLO Championship with a buy-in of €10,300 and a €2,000,000 guarantee.

The three-day PLO Championship brought 191 entries and so the guarantee could not be met. This tournament also featured well-known Norwegian pro Tom-Aksel Bedell, who received a free entry. He was awarded the prize for having bought in as many as eight times in the €5,200 buy-in Opener.

Daniel Tordjman from France sat at the final table as chipleader, but there were also names like Lautaro Guerra, Tom Vogelsang, Tom-Aksel Bedell and Hungarian pro Gergo Nagy. However, Gergo had to say goodbye to the tournament in 7th place with a prize of €74,500.

The winner of the Grand Slam PLO Opener, Dutch player Tom Vogelsang, finished in 4th place, earning €161,500. Original chipleader Daniel Tordjman eliminated as many as 6 opponents and was a massive chipleader among the last three.

However, this is where Bedell stepped up to the plate and started chipping the chipleader, becoming the chipleader himself. He also eventually knocked out Tordjman, who took home €197,500 for third place. That left Bedell as chipleader and Spanish player Lautaro Guerra to face off in the final heads-up match. The heads-up lasted approximately 30 minutes, after which Tom-Aksel Bedell emerged as the winner. He thus converted his free ticket into a €438,000 prize and a trophy for the winner. Lautaro Guerra took home €296,000 as runner-up.
