Triton returns to Jeju, Korea in February with 18 tournaments

Article cover

The Landing Casino at Jeju Shinhwa World in South Korea will be the venue for the first stop of this year's Triton Poker Super High Roller series. The entire series kicks off on February 26 and runs through March 15.

The first time the Triton series stopped in Jeju was in 2018, when it offered 5 tournaments. A year later, the series was held here again, back then offering 7 tournaments. After that, the venue took a break for a few years, and the series only returned here in 2024, when it already offered 17 tournaments. The Main Event here a year ago was dominated by Czech player Roman Hrabec, who took home $4,330,000.

The Jeju stop this year will offer 18 tournaments, numbered from 1 to 20, and traditionally numbers 4 and 14 will be omitted. 11 tournaments in total will be in NLH format, 4 in PLO format and 3 tournaments will be in Short Deck format, which was dropped from the schedule last year.

In the NLH format, tournaments will have buy-ins ranging from $15,000 to $150,000. Both the NLH and PLO Main Events will traditionally have a buy-in of $100,000 and there will also be a WPT Global Slam with a buy-in of $25,000. In the PLO format, we will see tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 and the Short Deck will bring tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $25,000 to $50,000. You can also look forward to the Mystery Bounty and the Bounty Quattro.

In addition to February's Jeju, Triton Poker also introduced us to two more stops. From May 13 to 27, Triton Montenegro awaits us, and from September 3 to 23, the series will return to Jeju once again.

The Triton Poker SHRS stops always attract the world's top poker players, so we can once again look forward to some beautiful poker and interesting hands. All the essentials will once again be broadcast via live stream on youtube.
