The WPT Prime Cyprus has been taking place at the Chamada Prestige Hotel & Casino in recent days, where it has also brought its Championship highlight. This had the traditional $1,100 buy-in and $1,000,000 guarantee.
Thanks to 1,202 entries, the prizepool reached $1,165,940 and from that $172,870 awaited the winner. On top of that, the winner also picked up a $10,400 ticket to the WPT World Championship in Las Vegas.
The top 9 players were seated at the final table and the chipleader here was Ukrainian player Yurii Senchylo with a stack of up to 10,775,000. Senchylo eventually finished in third place and took home $86,000.
Tudor Purice from Romania and Aleksandre Apryan from Georgia were the final heads-up players. The winner was Tudor Purice, who took home $172,870 plus the aforementioned ticket. Apryan was awarded $115,250 for second place.
