In order to bring you the details of this case, we have to go back to May 15, 2023, specifically to the time of 2:36 a.m., when 25-year-old Bryan Altamirano-Solano of Nicaragua met two 20-year-old women in the Caesars Palace hotel lobby.
As security camera footage shows us, the three of them walk together through the hotel hallways, heading toward Bryan's room. Approximately 10 minutes later, the footage shows only the aforementioned two women running away from the hotel. They are carrying Bryan's bag on their shoulder.
At 11:30 a.m., a housekeeper entered Bryan's room and found his body. The paramedics who were called pronounced him dead. Bryan had been shot by a pair of women, and his wallet and other personal belongings were stolen.
Police found an empty shell casing in the room, which led them to link one of the women, Arionna Taylor, to the murder. In fact, the shell casing was linked to a domestic violence incident that Arionna had been the victim of a few days prior to the murder. Arionna's accomplice was her cousin, Erika Covington, and police arrested them two days after the murder. Footage from hotel surveillance cameras, the aforementioned shell casing, explicit videos on Bryan's phone, and videos posted on both women's Instagram helped connect them to the murder.
Both women initially told police they had no memory of the night. However, after months behind bars, they eventually reconsidered their situation and confessed to both the murder and robbery, allowing them to enter into a plea deal.
On January 24, 2025, they both stood trial and heard a verdict of 10 to 25 years behind bars, with possible parole no earlier than 2033. The family of the murdered man was present in court. The father of the murdered man remarked incomprehensibly: "It wasn't enough for them to just take his belongings, they had to kill him." The victim's mother stated, "I felt like I had just lost my life. I had so many questions. Why? Why my son."
Arionna did not say a word during the court hearing, instead Erika Covington expressed her condolences to Bryan's family and apologized for the grief and pain she caused the family. Nevada state law allows prosecutors to charge more than one person with murder if a couple or group is accused of committing a crime together. Which of the women pulled the trigger, however, has never been made public.
