USPO knows its champions, Chidwick wins tenth PGT title

Second career PGT title

The sixth edition of the tournament had a buy-in of $15,100, produced 62 entries and took the prizepool to $930,000. A $297,600 prize awaited the winner here and the top 6 players battled it out in the final table.

In the final heads-up, the players negotiated an ICM deal, after which they matched up for $20,000 for the winner and the trophy. The winner in the end was Aram Zobian, who won his second career PGT title and $264,290 in prize money.

Eric Afriat and his first PGT title

The seventh tournament in the standings also had a buy-in of $15,100. But now the entries count had reached 64, so the $960,000 prizepool was being distributed.

Stephen Chidwick kicked off the final table here as the chipleader. However, he took the final third place, and it was Eric Afriat and Joey Weissman who made it to the final heads-up. Eric Afriat finished as the winner here, for whom it was the first PGT title of his career.

Tenth PGT title for Chidwick

The last tournament had a buy-in of $25,200, produced 52 entries and a prizepool worth $1,300,000. The highest prize of the entire USPO series, $429,000, awaited the winner here.

This amount was contested by 7 players in the final table, where Stephen Chidwick was the massive chipleader. He held up to 40 percent of all the chips in play and now gave his opponents no chance of success. He took home the trophy along with the $429,000 prize, his tenth career PGT title.

Zobian overall champion

As usual, this series had its own leaderboard, where players earned points. A special Golden Eagle trophy and an extra $25,000 PGT Passport awaited the winner for winning the leaderboard. Aram Zobian earned the most points here, taking home money from four tournaments and earning a total of $613,540 during the USPO. This gave Aram 616 points, overtaking Stephen Chidwick who finished in second place with 427 points. Congratulations!
