The thirteenth edition of the WaSOP series took place at Casino Namur in July/August, bringing a total guarantee of €1,000,000. Half of this amount was grabbed by the Main Event, which was a great success. The final number of entries of 1,728 had no problem surpassing the guarantee and the players here split €777,254 between them.
After the opening days, a total of 441 players qualified for Day 2 and played for seats to the final day yesterday. A long and challenging day really whittled down the field of players, let's take a look together to see how it all turned out.
The last 3 tables
The second day of Main Event play ended yesterday with the last 3 tables forming, which means that the top 27 players will play for the championship title today, along with a trophy and €106,200 in prize money. These are led by French player Jean Michel Texier, but the top 3 are completed by Jordy Engelen from the Netherlands (6,830,000) and Yannick Lapoirie from France (5,580,000).
The final table will kick off today at 13:00 local time and play will resume at blinds of 50,000/100,000/100,000. Good luck!
