R. was the first to fold. Begni, who came to the table as a short stack. He found his A-K, whereupon his opponent and fellow countryman Muller called with AJ. After the turn, Begni was in the lead, but the jack on the river changed everything and sent him home. He took home CHF6,390 for his eighth place finish. But it wasn't long before Muller followed his compatriot when he moved all-in from SB position pre-flop with A10 and was called by the Greek Dimogiorgis, who found a pair of jacks under his hands. Muller found no help on the board and so he was eliminated in seventh place, for which he received CHF8,740.

After the deal was agreed, the match was played for CHF9,900 for the winner and the trophy.
