WPT: Action in Liechtenstein is in full swing, we have two flights today

Article cover

We talked about the WPT Prime series yesterday, but for those of you who don't know what it is, it's a popular mid-stakes series that is played around the world. The main tournament of the festival is a tournament with a buy-in of €1,100 (or dollars, francs...), but its current edition is anchored in Liechtenstein, where it is additionally underlined by a record million dollar guarantee.

The tournament started already on Wednesday, but the first two flights out of the planned six are already behind us. Yesterday's flight 1B surpassed the opening number one in terms of participation, when 123 players took care of a total of 159 entries. By the end of the day, a group of 21 advanced was formed from them, led by the German pair Josef Vogel (570,000) and Jens Hermes (525,000).

In the total sum of the two flights played, the entry counter currently shows the number 238, which is still far from the planned 1,000 to fulfill the guarantee (or 1,359 to break the record of the entire series). But everyone knows that the strongest two days are ahead of us, which will send this number into oblivion today!

Today and tomorrow there are always two flights ready for players, a classic with 40-minute levels starting at 12:00 and then an accelerated one with 30-minute levels starting at 17:00. All flights end up in ITM, and we will follow them carefully - you can find everything important from the casino in the events section, where you can look forward to photos, streams and live reports!
