The start of September 2023 saw the Grand Casino Liechtenstein host the first ever stop of the popular WPT Prime series, attracting players from across Europe. A record 1,644 entries had no problem beating the million-dollar guarantee, with Hungarian player David Kozma (CHF 224,953) taking the biggest chunk of it.
Almost to the day, the WPT Prime Series returns to the beautiful surroundings of the Swiss Alps after one year, and once again, there's plenty to look forward to! The entire festival will take place between August 28 and September 9, when a total of 13 poker events await players. Buy-ins for these events start at CHF 200 and go up to CHF 1,980. You can look forward to the WPT Deepstack "warm-up" with a guarantee of CHF 100,000, the PLO event, the Ladies Event, the Seniors Event and the High Roller.
Of course, the biggest attraction of the whole event is the WPT Prime Championship event, which guarantees one million CHF at a buy-in of CHF 1,100. A total of five opening days await from Thursday, September 5 to Saturday, September 7, after which all qualifiers will meet in Sunday's Day 2. After that, the best will play for the title in Monday's final, and you'll be able to watch it all live again!
What do you think, with poker records falling all over the world, will we see something similar in Liechtenstein? Will we be able to surpass last year's 1,644 entries and set a new record for this series? Stay tuned, because you will find all the important information about the event on our website!
