Caesars Entertainment has announced the sale of the WSOP brand to the world for $500 million, selling it to NSUS Group, the company behind the GGPoker platform.
Just one day after this huge news, the WSOP took to its social media channels to give us the full schedule for the upcoming WSOP Paradise, which will take place from December 6-19 at the luxurious Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
Huge Total Guarantee
The total guarantee for the festival is as high as $68,500,000 and the Super Main Event has carved out the biggest chunk of that amount for itself with a guarantee of up to $50,000,000, the largest guarantee in poker history. The buy-in for the tournament, however, will be up to $25,000.
Just recently, the WSOP announced a merger with the Triton series, and we can look forward to two Triton tournaments at WSOP Paradise. The first will be the Triton Million, which will be an invite-only event for businessmen and celebrities. However, each of them can invite one poker pro and the buy-in for the tournament will be $500,000 per person.
Tournament offerings
The second Triton tournament will be the Triton Main Event with a buy-in of $106,000. The very first tournament of the entire festival will be the WSOP Mini Main Event with a buy-in of $2,750 and a guarantee of $5,000,000. Mystery Millions Online will also have the same buy-in and guarantee. The GGMasters Online Championship will offer a $2,500,000 guarantee with a buy-in of $2,750. The GGMillion$ NLH Championship will offer a $5,000,000 guarantee with a buy-in of $10,400.
There is also one freeroll on offer, which has a $1,000,000 guarantee and is called the Super Saver Invitational. It is open to all WSOP bracelet holders who also play the Super Main Event, players who have purchased a $100,000 Early Bird package, or package winners on GGPoker's online platform.
However, the WSOP Paradise schedule also includes three PLO tournaments, a Deepstack NLH tournament, a Dealer's Choice Championship and a Bounty tournament. For High Roller fans, there is the $51,000 buy-in NLH High Roller. A total of 15 bracelet tournaments will be played and the organizers promise us a special bracelet for the Super Main Event champion. All players must have a WSOP+ account to participate.
